ABOUT GUYS

Ritchie Neville

RICHARD NEVILLE DOBSON

Was born in the large industrial city of Birmingham to Kim and Peter Dobson. His parents divorced when he was 2 and it was hard for everyone, but Rich found a good father-figure later in his step-dad Derek. Both his parents had been singers and an uncle was a member of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, so it was no surprise when Rich practically came out of the womb singing.

At 16, Rich was accepted into The National Youth Theatre and had the lead in Romeo and Juliet...which he still quotes from to this day. Rich entered a 'grunge' period, identifying with the band Pearl Jam, singing with a local group called 'Anal Beard', and wearing the over-sized baggy clothes and hair to match. Finally, the lure of the stage brought him to London, stage school and his life-changing audition for Five. He was 17.

Jason Brown

JASON PAUL BROWN

Isn't a new to this pop lark, having already cut his teeth rapping in his hometown of Warrington in 'Prophets Of The Funk'. The former warehouse worker has "loads of different sides. I can be the life and soul of the party and the next minute. really quiet". He's also Daddy Five, organising everyone else, and claims he can "sniff a beautiful woman at twenty paces".

Sean Conlon

SEAN KIERAN CONLON

Is the youngest of Five. He grew up in Leeds, just around the corner from the Scary Spice (She was scary even then!). He's been singing since he was four, had his first recording session at 11, and won the Yamaha Young Composer competition when he was 13.

Sean is very proud of his northern roots, and is a big supporter of Rugby League, even considering a sporting career. "I realised that as much as I loved playing Rugby, that I couldn't sing if I had no teeth".

Richard Breen

RICHARD ABIDIN BREEN

Hi's very comfortable with himself and is a natural performer, having grown up in a musical family in Hackney, he has sung, danced, rapped and DJ'd since childhood. A real romantic bloke that cites Titanic as his favourite film and (awww) "would do anything for the girl I love".
